Changwon Special City Mayor Hong Nampyo Promotes 'Korea-World Online Business Week'
Meeting with Jeongye, Vice President of the British Chinese Chamber of Commerce
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, met with Veronica Zheng, Vice President of the British Chinese Chamber of Commerce, at the city hall reception room on the 3rd to actively promote the ‘2023 Korea-World Chinese Business Week.’
Mayor Hong also requested the interest and participation of many companies affiliated with the Chinese Chamber of Commerce.

The city plans to hold the ‘2023 Korea-World Chinese Business Week’ this coming November.
This meeting will be the first in-person event in three years since the ‘2020 Korea-World Chinese Business Week’ was held online due to the spread of COVID-19.
The city introduced local small and medium-sized enterprises and conducted investment attraction activities targeting overseas Chinese entrepreneurs.
Vice President Zheng toured local idle sites, major investment locations, and the Korea Electric Research Institute Changwon headquarters exhibition hall.
She then stated, “We will actively cooperate in investment attraction activities through continuous economic exchanges with Changwon Special City.”

Mayor Hong said, “We will make the Korea-World Chinese Business Week, held face-to-face for the first time this year, an opportunity to leap forward as a central city in Northeast Asia,” and added, “We look forward to active economic exchanges through continuous mutual cooperation with the World Chinese Chamber of Commerce.”
