Daejeon City, Public Property Rental Fee Reduction 'Until the End of This Year'
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 3rd that it will extend the measures to reduce the burden of public property rental fees until the end of this year.
The reduction of the burden of public property rental fees began in February 2020. The rental fee reduction measures have been extended a total of seven times from the year they started until this year. The purpose is to help the economic recovery of small business owners who are struggling with management due to COVID-19.
With the extension of the period, until the end of this year, the rental fee rate for other public properties will apply the reduced public property rental fee rate lowered from 5% to 2.5%. In addition, if the leased place could not be used due to the impact of COVID-19, the rental period will be extended or the rental fee will be reduced for the number of days it was not used.
Separately, the city revised the Public Property Management Ordinance in December last year to lower the rental fee rates of public properties to stabilize housing for low-income groups and improve the quality of life of local residents.
According to the ordinance revision, the rental fee rate for residential public properties was lowered from 2.5% to 2%, and the rental fee rate for social enterprises and others was lowered from 5% to 2%.
