CU Launches Jindo Green Onion Ready-to-Eat Series...Coexistence with Local Farmers
Second Product After Business Agreement with Jindo County Office
CU announced on the 31st that it will launch a green onion bulgogi ready-to-eat meal series using green onions, a specialty product of Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, as part of a local farm win-win project.
The products, which use pork bulgogi that pairs well with green onions, will be released in four types: lunchbox, hot dog, gimbap, and rice ball. The Jindo Green Onion Set Lunchbox features thickly sliced, grilled marinated pork neck and grilled garlic combined with thinly shredded green onions, accompanied by radish pickles and dried radish strips as side dishes to enhance the savory flavor of the meat.
The Jindo Green Onion Bulgogi Gimbap and Jindo Green Onion Bulgogi Triangle Gimbap are filled with soy sauce bulgogi marinated in a special sauce and topped with stir-fried green onions for a salty taste. The Jindo Green Onion Hot Dog is topped with green onions that have been grilled once to maximize sweetness, along with cheese, bacon chips, and basil pesto on the sausage.
This ready-to-eat meal series is the second product introduced following a business agreement with the Jindo County Office last year to promote the consumption of local specialty products. Previously, a tofu skin sushi using Jindo green onions was launched, consuming about 10 tons of Jindo green onions within a month.
