[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) announced on the 30th that it has carried out an organizational restructuring aimed at expanding the housing safety net and securing a foundation for future growth.
Accordingly, SH Corporation established the Donghaeng Anshim Division to implement housing safety net measures and the Public Housing Maintenance Division to refurbish aging rental housing such as Hagye 5 Complex into high-quality housing.
The Strategic Business Headquarters, responsible for transit-oriented development projects in areas such as Yongsan and Changdong·Sangye, and the Asset Management Division, dedicated to improving the corporation’s financial structure through the operation of income-generating real estate such as commercial buildings and offices, were also newly created.
In addition, departments with similar functions were consolidated around core functions, and about ten temporary organizations that had been operating on a provisional basis were abolished.
In the follow-up personnel appointments following the organizational restructuring, new positions were assigned to the newly established divisions to gather innovative ideas and enhance execution capabilities. At the same time, SH Corporation explained that it focused on improving career management and expertise of the staff.
