Traffic control has been enforced on major mountainous roads such as 1100 Road (full closure) and 5.16 Road (small chains required), with the deployment of the Jeju Police Mobile Unit (1st Mobile Unit).
A Jeju Police Agency official stated, “We are operating a snow season traffic situation room to ensure the safety of residents and tourists and to minimize traffic inconvenience,” adding, “We will do our best to support road control and ensure citizens' safety by mobilizing all available personnel, including traffic police officers and the police mobile unit.”
