[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Samsung Electronics will launch the 'SmartThings Station,' which enables easy and fast implementation of smart homes, in South Korea on the 25th.
The SmartThings Station was first unveiled earlier this month at CES, the IT and home appliance exhibition held in the United States. This product connects and controls not only Samsung Electronics products but also various devices supporting the industry's latest Internet of Things (IoT) communication standards, Matter and Zigbee, all at once.
In particular, by simply touching the 'Smart Button' located at the top of the product, users can quickly execute their personalized routine functions set in the SmartThings app.
Three lifestyle-optimized routines can be set according to the touch method?short press, double press, and long press?allowing routines to be executed without opening the app.
It also supports the Galaxy location tracking service, SmartThings Find. When you want to know the location of your smartphone or tablet at home, pressing the Smart Button twice makes the device emit a sound, making it easy to find.
Additionally, it supports wireless charging up to 15W, allowing fast and convenient charging of Galaxy smartphones and Buds. It includes a cooling fan to reduce power loss and improve charging efficiency. Above all, it can be set so that a pre-configured routine is executed simultaneously during wireless charging.
This product will be released in two colors: black and white. The price is 129,000 KRW.
