Russia says additional weapon support to 'Ukraina' "Changes nothing"
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunju Lee] On the 20th (local time), Russia claimed that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), which decided to provide large-scale weapons such as tanks to Ukraine, "will fundamentally change nothing."
According to Reuters and other sources, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, stated in a phone conference with reporters that "it will fail to achieve Russia's goals and will bring more problems to the Ukrainian people."
He also said, "The significance of the possibility of tank support should not be exaggerated," and warned, "The West will regret the delusion that Ukraine can win." He emphasized, "To avoid escalation, Russia's concerns must be listened to."
Earlier, on the 19th (local time), 11 NATO member countries along with the United States announced additional support of missiles and armored vehicles to Ukraine. The 11 countries plan to provide Ukraine with missiles, Stinger air defense systems, anti-aircraft guns, machine guns, military training, and other equipment.
