The site area is 15,714㎡, and the total floor area is 11,877㎡, including an education building (3 floors above ground) and a dormitory (4 floors above ground).
The Gyeongnam Career Education Center establishment project swiftly proceeded through administrative procedures, starting with the joint central investment review by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in May 2021, followed by urban management plan decisions and public notices for compensation plans. Subsequently, a deep consensus on the necessity and importance of this project was formed among landowners, resulting in 100% compensation completion within six months of negotiations.
With the completion of compensation, the Gyeongnam Career Education Center, gaining momentum in project promotion, plans to start construction in April, prepare innovative internal exhibition and experience content, complete construction by December 2024, and open in March 2025.
Once established, the only career education center in Gyeongnam will move beyond simple job experience-centered career education to provide specialized career experiences such as competency-based, level-specific experience programs and region-customized content linked with nano-industry, Smart Farm Innovation Valley, and more.
Through this, youth are expected to select careers based on their talents and aptitudes, strengthen self-directed career competencies, and cultivate a healthy mindset. It is also anticipated that the number of excellent talents contributing to regional industrial development and enjoying a happy life will significantly increase.
