Gyeonggi-do 500 Team Leaders Gather 'Collective Intelligence'... 18th 'Opportunity Gyeonggi Empathy Workshop'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will hold the 'Opportunity Gyeonggi Empathy Workshop' on the 18th, gathering about 500 team leaders within the provincial government following the new year’s appointments of department and division heads.
This workshop is the third 'Collective Intelligence Forum' aimed at bringing together all team-level public officials beyond the boundaries of job series and department/division divisions to communicate with each other and lead an administration that breaks away from the customs and inertia of public service society.
The workshop, held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the 18th at the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Auditorium, will be attended by Governor Kim Dong-yeon, the First Administrative Vice Governor, the Economic Vice Governor, and about 500 team leaders.
The workshop will begin with a 50-minute special lecture by Governor Kim Dong-yeon.
In his lecture, Governor Kim will share sincere life stories including his growth, public service experience, and reasons for engaging in politics, along with the necessity of opportunity policies and the philosophy of the 8th popularly elected provincial government.
This will be followed by a keyword talk titled 'Thoughts of Gyeonggi Provincial Government Team Leaders' and an unrestricted free discussion on various topics. Additionally, team leaders will participate in the final evaluation of policies proposed during the previous TED-level workshop for division heads.
Among the 20 outstanding works selected during the workshop, the final seven excellent works will be chosen by combining the scores from judges composed of the vice governors, provincial advisory committee members, etc. (70%) and on-site voting by team leaders (30%).
There will also be an empathy talk session between the First Administrative Vice Governor, the Economic Vice Governor, and the team leaders. Under the theme 'Let’s Change Gyeonggi Provincial Government Like This,' team leaders will freely present their opinions on the desired changes for Gyeonggi Province, and the vice governors will select and respond to these on the spot.
The communication will continue with unrestricted free speeches on various topics.
Earlier, on the 6th, for the first time in the province, the governor, three vice governors, policy, political affairs, administration, and Opportunity Gyeonggi chiefs, department and division heads, heads of public institutions, and provincial advisory committee members gathered to hold the 'Opportunity Gyeonggi Workshop,' conducting policy discussions for 10 hours over two days.
Also, on the 12th and 13th, the 'Gyeonggi TED Division Head Workshop' was held twice, attended by about 280 division heads and heads of public institution headquarters, where prepared policy tasks were presented and policy auditions were conducted through on-site discussions.
