Ministry of Health and Welfare to Promote 'Hanui Digital Convergence Technology Development Project'... 44 Billion Won Invested Over 5 Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced on the 17th that it will launch the 'Korean Medicine Digital Convergence Technology Development Project,' which seeks solutions for intractable diseases by integrating Korean medicine technology with advanced science, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and ICT.
This project will invest a total of 44 billion KRW over the next five years in 35 tasks, ranging from basic and foundational core technology development to applied and clinical research.
Specifically, in the basic and foundational technology sector, the project aims to scientifically elucidate the fundamental theories of Korean medicine and develop core technologies through convergence research between Korean medicine technology and bio and information and communication technology (ICT).
