View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Myunghwan] On the 13th, Jang Je-won, a member of the People Power Party, criticized former lawmaker Na Kyung-won, who was dismissed from her position as Vice Chairperson of the Low Birthrate and Aging Society Committee, saying, "She is playing the typical victim role as if she is being persecuted and driven out of her position," and added, "She is pretending to support the president while aiming to become the leader of the anti-Yoon (anti-Yoon Seok-yeol) faction."
On the same day, Jang posted on his social media, "Is throwing in a resignation letter behind the president, who is out on sales diplomacy for national interests, the way to support President Yoon and the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, as former lawmaker Na claims?" he said.
He continued, "The behavior of a public official handling important national policies using their position politically has gone too far. I am at a loss for words at the hypocritical attitude pretending to support the president the most," and criticized, "A person who only pursues their own politics and acts as if they are the most devoted to the president is a cowardly anti-Yoon disguised as a pro-Yoon."
He added, "What is the difference between this and Yoo Seung-min and Lee Jun-seok, who keep saying 'Yoon core group, Yoon core group'? Isn't this behavior an attack on the president?" and said, "Those who cause trouble in our party are enough with Lee Jun-seok and Yoo Seung-min."
President Yoon dismissed former lawmaker Na from her positions as Vice Chairperson of the Low Birthrate and Aging Society Committee and Climate Ambassador on the day before his overseas trip.
Jang questioned, "Who in our party has received the most benefits? Who holds two ministerial-level positions? Someone who travels first class and receives ministerial treatment cannot be considered weak," and asked, "Is the Vice Chairperson of a committee where the president is the chairperson and ministers are members, who has twice served as a presidential special envoy, a weak person?"
He criticized, "Sending a single text message 'just like that' to the Chief of Staff and throwing away the position is an act that forgets the minimum courtesy to the president." He added, "Just three months ago, the position she so desired was Vice Chairperson of the Low Birthrate and Aging Society Committee, and the Climate and Environment Ambassador position was even renamed to her preferred title as a consideration. Isn't she someone who only thinks of herself?"
Park Soo-young, also a member of the People Power Party, indirectly criticized former lawmaker Na. On the same day, Park wrote on his SNS, "The president's success is Korea's success," and "The party members will reject a second Yoo Seung-min." This is interpreted as a remark targeting former lawmaker Na.
On the other hand, Kim Woong, a member of the same party, came to Na's defense. Kim wrote on his SNS, "Hearing the news today that the presidential office dismissed former leader Na Kyung-won reminds me of her past image fighting hard against the Democratic Party," and added, "What kind of great crime is it for Na to want to run for party leader once?"
