Recruitment of Participants for the '2023 Busan Metropolitan City Skills Competition'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan City is recruiting skilled workers to participate in the '2023 Busan Metropolitan City Skills Competition' (April 3?7).
Eligibility to participate is open to anyone who has resided in Busan for more than six months or has been affiliated with an organization located in Busan for more than three months. However, some participants, such as international competition winners and those qualified for national team selection, are restricted from participating.
Applications for 50 occupations across 7 fields can be submitted only through the official website MeisterNet from January 16 to 27, a period of 12 days.
Award-winning athletes at the Busan Skills Competition will receive medals along with prize money (800,000 KRW for gold, 600,000 KRW for silver, and 300,000 KRW for bronze). Excellence and encouragement award recipients will receive 200,000 KRW and 100,000 KRW respectively.
Additionally, winners will be granted the qualification to represent Busan City as participants in the '58th National Skills Competition' held in Chungcheongnam-do from October 14.
Shin Seung-sik, Chairperson of the Busan Skills Competition Committee, stated, "We hope that many Busan citizens will participate in this skills competition, making it a festival to discover excellent skilled technicians who are the foundation of community development."
