[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Genesis BBQ announced on the 10th that it will recruit the 2nd generation of the university student volunteer group ‘Oliver Us’ until the 26th.
Oliver Us is a compound word of BBQ’s symbolic golden olive oil ‘Olive’ and ‘Us,’ meaning ‘becoming one with BBQ’ and carrying the purpose of ‘sharing love and warmth with society together.’ It is a university student volunteer group.
The 2nd generation of Oliver Us will start with an inauguration ceremony on the 9th of next month and conduct various volunteer activities once or twice a month by visiting places in the community that need help, such as elderly living alone, child welfare facilities, disability protection facilities, and free meal centers, delivering socially positive influence and messages.
Applications can be made through the link at the bottom of the official BBQ Oliver Us Instagram profile. The recruitment target is university students and prospective graduates residing in Seoul and the metropolitan area. A total of 20 people will be selected through document screening and interviews. The first successful candidates will be announced on the 31st of this month, and interviews will be conducted over three days starting from the 1st of next month. The final successful candidates will be announced through the official Instagram story and individual contact on the 7th.
Outstanding participants will receive an exemption from the document screening process when applying for a job at BBQ, and the top five performers will be offered employment-linked internship opportunities.
