Gwangju Nam-gu Provides Subsidies to 30 Cultural and Arts Organizations
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is providing subsidies to cultural and artistic organizations within the district.
Nam-gu will accept related applications until the 13th and select about 30 cultural and artistic organizations to support various cultural and artistic activities.
With a project budget of 65 million KRW, subsidies ranging from 5 million to 10 million KRW will be provided per organization to ignite the promotion of culture and arts such as performances, exhibitions, and writing contests.
10% of the total project cost is to be borne by the organizations.
Eligibility requires that, as of the announcement date, the organization or corporation is located within the district and has at least one year of activity experience in the relevant field.
Additionally, organizations that carry out projects recommended by Nam-gu and cannot perform these projects without local subsidies may also participate.

However, organizations currently receiving support for similar public interest projects from national or local governments, duplicate similar projects by the same organization, and events or projects aimed at propagating doctrines of specific religious groups are excluded from support.
