All Employees of Sohwa Sisters' Home Donate Monthly Collected Funds from Salaries
6.81 Million Won Donated to Gwangju Social Welfare Community Chest
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] All employees of the social welfare corporation Sohwa Sisters' Home donated 6,819,110 KRW to the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea to mark the year-end and New Year holidays.
The donation ceremony was attended by Director Shim Mikyung, Chairperson of the Sohwa Employee Welfare Committee Park Jinseon, Vice Chairperson Kim Sora, committee members Lee Sohee, Oh Eunjeong, Jang Eunchae, Hong Kyunghui, Cha Miseon, employee Bae Yangho, and staff from the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea.
The employees of the social welfare corporation Sohwa Sisters' Home (Sohwa Nuri, Sohwa Angel's House, Sohwa Aram Workplace) collected the donation from their monthly salaries over the past two years.
The funds are designated to be donated to environmental protection organizations, heating support for people with disabilities, and self-reliance support for young adults leaving childcare facilities.
Park Jinseon, Chairperson of the Sohwa Employee Welfare Committee, said, "The severe cold continues, but we hope that everyone in the local community will have a healthy and warm year-end with this small donation."
