Daejeon Memorial Park Bonandang Open During Lunar New Year Holiday... First Time in 3 Years Since COVID-19 Outbreak
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The indoor columbarium at Daejeon Memorial Park will be fully open during the Lunar New Year holiday. This full opening is the first in three years since the COVID-19 outbreak.
According to Daejeon Facilities Management Corporation on the 7th, the indoor columbarium will be open throughout the Lunar New Year holiday from the 21st to the 24th.
Visitors must wear masks before entering indoors and complete their memorial rites within 10 minutes.
Outdoor facilities such as the public cemetery, natural burial grounds, and family burial sites will allow visits without ancestral rites during the holiday.
However, ancestral rites can be performed on weekdays before the Lunar New Year holiday.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the ritual rooms will be closed during the holiday, and bringing food is prohibited.
Visitors who find it difficult to visit the memorial park in person can use the online memorial service through the 'e-Haneul Funeral Information System.'
