Federation of Korean Industries CEO Program Alumni Association Appoints Yang Gongjin, Leo Development Chairman, as New President
2023 General Assembly Meeting Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Yeju] The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) CEO Course Alumni Association held its 2023 general meeting on the 5th at 5 p.m. in the Emerald Hall on the 3rd floor of the FKI Conference Center and appointed Yang Gongjin, Chairman of Leo Development, as the new president of the alumni association.
Leo Development is a specialized construction company. Chairman Yang Gongjin began his career in construction while working as a site manager for foreign-affiliated companies overseas. After returning to Korea, he started a housing business in 1996 but had to suspend operations the following year due to the aftermath of the foreign exchange crisis. After a long time searching for a foundation to restart, Chairman Yang established a specialized construction company in 2003 to lay the groundwork for a comeback, and in 2005, he acquired a company to advance into a general construction enterprise. He is creating business synergies through the specialized construction company Leo Development and the general construction company Leo Construction.
Newly appointed Chairman Yang Gongjin expressed his ambition, saying, "We will hold regular meetings with the presidents of alumni associations from each class, which number up to the 85th class, to build a general alumni association that encompasses over 4,300 alumni members and develop it into a group of business leaders who serve society."
