COVID-19 Positive Chinese National Who Refused Quarantine and Fled Apprehended in Seoul
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Jo] Police arrested a 40-year-old Chinese man who refused hotel quarantine and fled after testing positive for COVID-19 on the 5th. It was two days after he fled.
Incheon Police Agency announced that at around 12:55 PM on the same day, they apprehended Chinese national A (41) in Jung-gu, Seoul, on charges of violating the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act. The police are currently reported to be transferring A to a quarantine facility.
A is accused of refusing quarantine and fleeing near a hotel in Yeongjongdo, Jung-gu, Incheon, at 10:07 PM on the 3rd. He arrived at Incheon Airport Terminal 1 on the 2nd after boarding a passenger plane from China, tested positive for COVID-19, and was scheduled to be quarantined at the temporary living facility, the said hotel.
