Holding the Opening Ceremony, Pledging to Realize a New and Happier Future for Hwasun Residents
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 2nd, Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, held a New Year's opening ceremony in the large conference room of the county office, announcing a vigorous start to the Year of the Rabbit.
At the ceremony, the county governor and staff exchanged New Year's greetings and reaffirmed their determination with high fives to realize a newer and happier future for the citizens of Hwasun.
In his New Year's address, Governor Gu Bok-gyu stated, "Welcoming the Year of the Rabbit, symbolizing luck and leap, Hwasun will leap forward into a new Hwasun through fairness, innovation, future industries, and tourism," adding, "All of us public officials in Hwasun-gun, including myself, will devote all our efforts to making Hwasun new and its citizens happy."

Before the ceremony, Governor Gu Bok-gyu, along with local institution heads, paid respects at Namsan Park Memorial Tower, the Yang Han-mook Memorial Monument, and the police cemetery in Hwasun-eup.
