Wichi Company is a Web3 specialized startup leading the popularization of blockchain through collaboration with various companies. Wichi Company's self-developed web-based non-fungible token (NFT) metaverse service, "Wichi World," allows users to easily issue NFTs and exhibit and sell them in 3D spaces. It also provides community spaces exclusive to NFT holders, expanding the NFT ecosystem.
LG Uplus, together with Wichi Company, will develop a new kids service that uses metaverse and NFT technology to offer immersive experiences and preserve and commemorate precious moments. A prototype is expected to be unveiled as early as the first quarter, with customer feedback to follow.
Based on its cooperation with Wichi Company, LG Uplus plans to quickly experiment with and verify new customer experiences that can be provided through the metaverse and Web3, ultimately aiming to discover Web3 business models that can be popularized.
Lee Sang-yeop, CTO (Executive Vice President) of LG Uplus, said, “Through cooperation with a Web3 specialized startup that has technological capabilities and service experience related to metaverse, NFT, and blockchain, we will introduce services that customers can practically use in daily life to accelerate the popularization of Web3 and create excellent cooperation cases between large corporations and startups.”
