[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Seven Eleven announced on the 30th that it has launched the ‘Yongdudong Jjukkumi Bibimbap,’ allowing customers to enjoy the dishes from the famous Yongdudong Jjukkumi restaurant without waiting.
Seven Eleven sourced the secret sauce from the ‘Yongdudong Jjukkumi restaurant’ and applied it directly to the ‘Yongdudong Jjukkumi Bibimbap.’ This restaurant has gained popularity among various consumers for over 20 years with its spicy sauce and chewy yet tender jjukkumi (webfoot octopus).
Since 2000, Seven Eleven has introduced new bibimbap products each season using seasonal ingredients, and this year alone, it has launched more than 10 types of bibimbap. This year, Seven Eleven’s bibimbap sales have shown strong growth, increasing by more than 30% compared to the previous year.
The newly introduced Yongdudong Jjukkumi Bibimbap replicates the exact taste of eating at Yongdudong by using the secret sauce from the famous jjukkumi restaurant. It is composed with crunchy seasoned bean sprouts, tangy pickled radish strips that balance the spiciness, chicory, seasoned laver flakes, and sesame oil.
