Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Announces 986 Candidates Passing the First Round of Secondary Teacher Employment Exam
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-gyeong] The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced the list of 986 candidates who passed the first round of the '2023 Secondary School Teacher Employment Examination' on the 29th.
This exam had 2,962 applicants, showing an average competition rate of 6.4 to 1, and a total of 465 candidates (348 public, 117 private) are scheduled to be selected.
In the first round, 499 candidates were selected for public schools and 487 for private schools. Successful candidates must submit their documents by mail from the 30th until January 2 of next year, and in-person submissions will not be accepted to prevent COVID-19.
The results and scores of the first round can be checked from the 29th on the Provincial Office of Education's NAIS online recruitment system for teaching staff.
The second round will be held in January next year, with practical evaluation on the 12th, teaching demonstration on the 18th, and in-depth interview on teaching aptitude on the 19th.
COVID-19 confirmed cases and self-quarantined candidates can take the exam at a separate test site upon prior application, and additional applications are allowed only for candidates who have received quarantine notices.

The final successful candidates will be announced on February 7 next year through the Provincial Office of Education's website.
