[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] President Yoon Seok-yeol sent New Year's greeting cards to various figures ahead of the 2023 New Year, stating, "I will achieve a new leap forward together with the great people."
In the greeting card, President Yoon said, "We are overcoming difficult and challenging times and creating a better future."
He added, "We will strive harder to let warm energy permeate the lives of the people" and "I wish for a hopeful 2023." First Lady Kim Geon-hee also signed the card alongside President Yoon.
The recipients include elders and key figures from various fields, national merit recipients and their families, socially disadvantaged groups, foreign heads of state and prominent foreign figures, and overseas Koreans.

In particular, the Presidential Office explained that it expresses various Korean cultures such as K-pop, K-drama, K-movie, K-food, and K-beauty, and also includes Suwon Hwaseong, a World Cultural Heritage site, and Talchum (mask dance), registered as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
