[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Recently, dessert products such as 'Butter Bar' and 'Hwang Cheese' have been gaining great popularity at convenience stores.
According to GS25, from October 1 to December 27, two types of Cookat Butter Bar products surpassed a cumulative sales volume of 1 million units.
The Cookat Butter Bar features a rich texture with Hwang Cheese on a crust and is sold at 2,200 won, which is about 30-40% of the price at specialty dessert shops. In particular, at the GS25 Door-to-Seongsu store, which is most frequented by women in their 20s, the Cookat Butter Bar Hwang Cheese ranked overwhelmingly first in total dessert product sales.
