View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters held a "Public Hearing for Residents of Five Districts in Busan on the Draft Environmental Impact Assessment Report on Radiation for the Continued Operation of Gori Unit 2" on the 28th at the Conference Hall of the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center in Dong-gu, Busan.
This public hearing was the last of a total of five planned hearings, attended by about 100 residents from Dong-gu, Dongnae-gu, Yeonje-gu, Buk-gu, and Busanjin-gu.
The public hearing was conducted to gather opinions from residents of the five districts in Busan regarding the expected radiation environmental impact from the continued operation of Gori Unit 2 and measures to reduce it.
On the day of the hearing, the schedule included an explanation of the draft radiation environmental impact assessment report for Gori Unit 2, introduction of the results and contents of the public inspection, statements and responses to residents' opinions, and an on-site Q&A session.

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power concluded the legally mandated public hearings with this session and plans to submit the environmental impact assessment report on radiation for the continued operation of Gori Unit 2, reflecting the collected residents' opinions, to the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission in the future.
