UNIST Obtains International Standard Occupational Health and Safety Management System ‘ISO 45001’ Certification

On the 28th, UNIST announced that it obtained the International Standard Safety and Health Management System (ISO 45001) certification from the official certification body, System Korea Certification Institute, in recognition of its efforts to prevent industrial accidents and create a safe campus environment.
The Safety and Health Management System is a certification system that accredits organizations that efficiently allocate and systematically manage physical and human resources within workplaces to prevent accidents and create and maintain optimal working environments for employees.
Since President Yong-Hoon Lee took office, UNIST has established a safety and health management policy prioritizing safety and health, created a dedicated safety organization called the Safety Facilities Management Headquarters, and has been conducting activities to prevent laboratory and facility accidents and foster a safe research culture.
