Chosun University Conducts 'Visiting Smart Mind Education'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The SW-Centered University Project Group at Chosun University recently visited Nam-gu Office in Gwangju Metropolitan City and conducted a 'Visiting Customized Smart Mind Education,' the group announced on the 28th.
Since signing a business agreement with Nam-gu in 2019 for AI and SW education aimed at lifelong learning utilizing artificial intelligence (AI), the SW-Centered University Project Group has carried out programs such as 'Visiting Coding Classroom,' 'Intellectual Property Academy' support, 'Coding Classroom for Basic AI Utilization,' 'Visiting Elementary School Coding Classroom,' 'Visiting Intellectual Property Academy SW Experience Education,' 'Visiting Customized Smart Mind Education,' and 'Coding Education for Basic AI Utilization.'
The recently conducted '2022 Visiting Customized Smart Mind Education' was held for 118 local residents living in Sajik-dong, Baegun 1-dong, Jinwol-dong, Bongseon 2-dong, Wolsan 4-dong, and Juwol 1-dong within Nam-gu Office's jurisdiction. The program involved outstanding students from Chosun University's Department of Computer Engineering, including Lee Hyunjun, Kim Seonguk, Seo Gyeonghyeon, Kim Yongsu, Kim Junhyeon, and researcher No Chisang.
Professor in charge, Cho Youngju, stated, "This education was conducted targeting AI and SW vulnerable groups and the silver generation. With AI and SW coding education becoming mandatory and the rapidly changing Fourth Industrial Revolution era, it seems to have been a time to bring about a positive change in perception toward AI and SW."
