Investment Attraction Briefing for Gwangyang Port Yulchon Convergence and Complex Logistics Complex Development Project Held
29 Companies and Organizations Including LG Chem, Hanwha Solutions, Lotte Chemical, and GS Caltex Participate
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seonsik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seonghyun, YGPA) announced that it held an investment attraction business briefing session for the development project of the Yulchon Convergence Logistics Complex at Gwangyang Port on the 27th.
This investment attraction business briefing session was organized to inform about the current project progress and sales plans in order to attract tenant companies for the approximately 3.31 million square meter site development.
About 60 participants from 29 companies and organizations, including domestic petrochemical companies such as LG Chem, Hanwha Solutions, Lotte Chemical, GS Caltex, local small and medium enterprises, and the cities of Gwangyang and Yeosu, attended the event.
The briefing session covered the Yulchon Convergence Logistics Complex development project’s ▲project overview ▲land analysis ▲facility plan ▲project competitiveness ▲sales plan ▲introduction of the authority and sales schedule, followed by a Q&A session.
YGPA explained that the method for selecting the preferred bidder for the site is an open competitive bidding process, where price scores and business proposals are evaluated and combined to determine the highest scorer.
Additionally, the project is a long-term business planned until 2030, with the first phase site sales starting in the first half of next year and proceeding in three phases. YGPA stated that it will continuously manage companies interested in moving in according to the sales promotion to continuously encourage corporate interest and participation.
President Park Seonghyun said, “Through successful sales, we will strive to revitalize the Gwangyang Bay area and make our best efforts to supply insufficient industrial land in a timely manner, putting customers first.”
