Sacheon City Holds New Year's Sunrise Event Around Samcheonpo Bridge Area
Wishing Health and Happiness to Citizens and Tourists Enjoying the Sunrise
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sacheon City, Gyeongnam Province, will hold a New Year's sunrise event to pray for wishes in the Year of the Rabbit 2023.
The city plans to hold the "2023 Samcheonpo Bridge Sunrise" event at the nationally renowned sunrise spot around Samcheonpo Bridge on January 1st at 6 a.m. The sunrise is expected at 7:36 a.m.
This event is organized to conclude the Year of the Tiger and welcome the New Year of the Rabbit by watching the first sunrise at Samcheonpo Bridge, wishing for the health and happiness of citizens and tourists.
The Samcheonpo Bridge sunrise event will proceed with activities such as firing celebratory fireworks while making wishes for the year and celebrating them by watching the sunrise.
On that day, from 7:31 a.m. to 7:36 a.m., celebratory fireworks will be launched for five minutes at the new breakwater in front of Daebang Oyster Port. Before sunrise, citizens and tourists can gather to enjoy the beautiful fireworks display.
As a large number of people are expected, the city plans to implement safety measures to maintain order and will do its best to prevent accidents in cooperation with the police, fire department, and coast guard.
In particular, the city decided to focus on quarantine rules and order maintenance for this year's sunrise event and will not hold side events such as sharing rice cake soup.
