The donated funds were raised through voluntary contributions from the committee members and will be delivered to low-income households such as single-person households and housing-vulnerable groups through the Jeonggwan-eup Administrative Welfare Center.
The 'Jeonggwan Ecological Stream Learning Culture Festival' is a representative festival of Jeonggwan-eup, held against the backdrop of the ecological stream Jwagwangcheon in Gijang-gun, providing various exhibitions, experiences, and attractions, and creating a place for communication and harmony with local residents.
This year, the festival was held over two days from October 22 to 23 and was successfully concluded with active participation from local residents.
To create a waste-free festival, a waste station for the continuous separation of recyclables and general waste was installed during the festival period, and as a result of the proactive efforts of the festival promotion committee and many other organizations, it has been recognized as a model case of an eco-friendly festival.
Chairman Moon Jaecheol said, "Thanks to the residents who supported us wholeheartedly during the festival period, we were able to successfully complete the festival, and to repay that sentiment even a little, we planned to donate through fundraising by the promotion committee members."
