Yeongyang County Health Center Receives Specialized Vehicle for Disabled

Yeongyang-gun was selected for the "Vehicle Support Project Specialized for the Disabled," organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and sponsored by the Korea Health Management Association, and received a vehicle worth 24.6 million KRW.
The Vehicle Support Project Specialized for the Disabled is a project in which the Ministry of Health and Welfare supports health centers that have excellently promoted rehabilitation projects for the disabled by providing vehicles specialized for the disabled through a screening process.
The supported vehicle specialized for the disabled can accommodate a total of two passengers, including one wheelchair seat and one regular seat, and is equipped with fixed belts, safety bars, and a slope to facilitate boarding and movement for the disabled.

Yeongyang-gun plans to actively utilize the vehicle specialized for the disabled to provide 1:1 customized rehabilitation services by visiting households with severely disabled individuals who have difficulty moving, assist with mobility convenience such as rehabilitation exercise programs for the disabled, and promote health improvement and social participation activities for the disabled.
