FarmHannong Herbicide 'Terado' Enters 14 Trillion KRW Brazilian Market
Soybeans, Corn, and Coffee All Registered
Available on the Market from the Second Half of Next Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Farm Hannong announced on the 27th that its new herbicide 'Terado' has been registered as a new herbicide in Brazil, the world's largest crop protection market worth 11 billion USD (approximately 14 trillion KRW).
Terado has been registered for all three top crops in Brazil by cultivation area: soybeans (1st), corn (2nd), and coffee (3rd). It is scheduled to be marketed from the second half of next year.
Terado is a herbicide jointly developed by Farm Hannong and the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology with support from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
According to Farm Hannong, Terado has a fast and powerful herbicidal effect. It also has excellent rainfastness, maintaining stable herbicidal efficacy even after rainfall.

Choi Hak-yong, head of Farm Hannong's overseas business division, said, "We plan to use the registration of Terado in Brazil, the world's largest agricultural country, as a stepping stone to expand our business to neighboring countries such as Paraguay and Uruguay."
