[2nd Report] Multiple North Korean Drones Fly Over Gimpo and Paju Areas in Gyeonggi
[Asia Economy Military Specialist Yang Nak-gyu] North Korean drones have intruded into our airspace again after 5 years. Our military identified them as drones and issued multiple warning broadcasts and warning shots, deploying response forces including Air Force fighter jets and attack helicopters to carry out a shootdown operation.
According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff on the 26th, from around 10:25 a.m., several unidentified flight tracks presumed to be North Korean drones were detected over the Gyeonggi Province area. The North Korean drones flew from north of the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) into areas including Gimpo and Paju in Gyeonggi, as well as Ganghwado Island. Several drones showed different types of flight tracks, and some descended into areas with civilians and villages.
