The city recently held the 'Hometown Love Donation Program Gift Selection Committee' and announced on the 22nd that it simultaneously selected 41 gift items and 23 suppliers.
The selected items include ▲18 agricultural and livestock products such as rice, pears, grapes, tomatoes, and mushrooms ▲14 food items such as bread, seaweed, oils, sauces, and traditional liquor ▲4 crafts and industrial products such as cosmetics, cutting boards, and cooking utensils ▲5 tourism and service products including O-World admission tickets and annual memberships, and Daecheongho Romantic Travel.
Detailed information on the gifts can be found from January next year on the comprehensive information system for the Hometown Love Donation Program, 'Hometown Love e-um'. The suppliers have been announced on the city’s official website.
The Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals who donate to local governments other than their place of residence (with an annual limit of 5 million KRW) to receive a full tax credit for donations up to 100,000 KRW, and a 16.5% tax credit for the amount exceeding 100,000 KRW.
Additionally, donors can receive local agricultural and specialty products as gifts within 30% of the donation amount.
Local governments use the donation funds for welfare, culture and arts, and regional economic revitalization projects.
