Hyundai L&C Selected as 'Korea KS Master' by National Institute of Technology and Standards
Selected as an Excellent Company in the Construction Sector... Innovative Growth through Building Material Manufacturing Technology and Know-how
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Comprehensive building materials company Hyundai L&C announced on the 22nd that it has been selected as a 'Korea KS Master (hereinafter KS Master)' by the National Institute of Technology and Standards.
The KS Master is an excellent company selection project newly established last year by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's National Institute of Technology and Standards to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the introduction of KS (Korean Industrial Standards) certification. Companies that have maintained certification for more than 10 years after obtaining KS are carefully selected and awarded as exemplary companies in the industry. Hyundai L&C was selected as an excellent company in the construction sector this year.
Hyundai L&C, which completed the first domestic PVC (polyvinyl chloride) factory in 1966, has held a total of five KS certifications across interior materials such as windows and flooring since obtaining KS certification for flooring using PVC in 1975. In particular, Hyundai L&C has introduced numerous differentiated products reflecting customer needs alongside KS certification.
Representative products include the premium marble "Kanstone," which has acquired stringent eco-friendly product certifications not only domestically but also in the United States and Europe, premium windows developed with insulation functions through cooperation with Rehau, one of Germany's top three PVC window manufacturers, and flooring with eco-friendly certification and anti-slip features considering pets.
