[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] “As four capable mid-career female artists leading the future of art in Yeohyang Jeonnam Suncheon, we are doing our best in our activities.”
The ‘4 Colors 4 Artists’ working in Suncheon, the hometown of Yeohyang, shared their thoughts ahead of their 5th special creative activity exhibition.
An exhibition where you can see the works of these artists, who are expected to be the main figures in the female art scene in the Suncheon area, will be held from the 22nd (Thursday) to the 25th (Sunday) at the Suncheon Culture and Arts Center.
In particular, this exhibition is a special project to promote the value of Suncheon art, where visitors can experience diverse artworks by the four mid-career female artists, including themes of nature, innocence, communication, and empathy, raising great expectations.
▲ Artist Kim Myeong-yi works on nature and healing ▲ Artist Moon Seung-hee focuses on innocence and gardens ▲ Artist Lee Myeong-yi expresses communication with nature ▲ Artist Pyo Seung-eun works on communication and empathy with oneself, each expressing their own colors through various materials and subjects.
Artist Jo, who observed this, said, “I hope this exhibition will highlight the meaning of Yeohyang Suncheon by introducing works of local female artists and making collections available to the public, becoming a place for meetings and on-site exchanges between citizens and cultural artists.”
