Midterm Report Meeting of 'Dongdaemun-gu Superheroes' Composed of Young Employees in Dongdaemun-gu Held, Proposing Various Measures on Themes Such as Flower City, Creating a Work-Friendly Atmosphere, and Developing Jungnangcheon Camping Site
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The mid-term report meeting of Dongdaemun-gu Superheroes was held on the morning of the 19th at the Planning Situation Room of Dongdaemun-gu Office.
Composed of 16 young employees appointed within the last 3 to 5 years, the Dongdaemun-gu Superheroes have been actively engaged in selecting research topics by group, conducting discussions, research, and benchmarking since their inauguration ceremony in September. They are discovering innovative ideas related to organizational culture and policies.
On this day, the Superheroes presented the mid-term results of their three-month research on themes such as ▲creating pleasant walking-friendly streets ▲establishing a transparent personnel system to foster a desirable workplace ▲creating resting spaces for residents in a future happy city, in front of Dongdaemun-gu Mayor Ilhyung Lee and other district executives.
In particular, the Pleasant Group, which proposed ideas for creating comfortable streets, suggested projects such as training village gardeners composed of residents, creating “one-span gardens,” and introducing IoT smart gardens to establish beautiful streets with flowers and gardens.
The Transparent Group, researching ways to foster a desirable working atmosphere, proposed designating heavy workload areas on an individual basis instead of the current team basis and suggested various incentive plans.
The Future Group, researching for a future happy city, announced plans to install an urban picnic zone along the Jungnangcheon Stream.
After the presentations, district executives shared practical and warm advice with junior employees based on their extensive administrative experience.
Reflecting the content presented and the opinions of the district executives, the Superheroes plan to conduct additional research and announce the final results around March next year.
