LG Uplus, 'Sebasi' Special Lecture... Lim Hyun-jung, Billboard Classical No.1, and More
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] LG Uplus announced on the 19th that it will hold a special free lecture and event on the theme of its campaign WHY NOT? in collaboration with the lecture program "15 Minutes to Change the World (Sebasi)".
The lecture, held on the 21st of this month at the 'U+ Stage' inside the LG Art Center in Magok, Seoul, will feature speakers who have achieved success in various fields through bold challenges: ▲ pianist Lim Hyun-jung, who reached number one on the Billboard classical chart with her debut album ▲ dancer Young J, leader of the winning team of a dance competition program ▲ voice actor Lee Yong-shin, who recorded voices for famous game characters ▲ actor Park Jae-min, a versatile entertainer including sports commentator and international referee.
The theme of this lecture, WHY NOT, is LG Uplus's brand campaign that innovates customers' everyday experiences through bold challenges and provides "pleasure beyond boundaries." Each speaker will deliver a 15-minute talk on "bold challenges and my determination," as in previous Sebasi lectures, and encourage each other's challenges.
Unlike the previous format which only featured 15-minute talks, this time attendees can also enjoy performances such as piano playing and dance by the speakers. After all programs, there will be a photo time and autograph session.
LG Uplus will invite 200 "Uplus Fans" recruited through its SNS and the official Sebasi community page to attend the event in person. Customers who cannot attend the lecture directly can watch it live on the YouTube channel "Sebasi Talk".
For Uplus Fans visiting the venue, LG Uplus will also hold customer participation events where they can receive company goods and books. First, if visitors take photos at the photo wall installed in front of the U+ Stage and share them on Instagram, they will receive printed photos and pens engraved with the WHY NOT logo. Additionally, if visitors show pink items, the brand color of Uplus, to staff, they will be given eco-friendly pouches. Both events are open to all visitors to the LG Art Center on the day of the lecture.
Furthermore, among customers who participate in the lecture, those who complete the photo sharing event and announce their New Year's resolutions will receive additional gifts such as best-selling books by popular Sebasi speakers and an "Illy Coffee Set" available through LG Uplus's subscription platform "U-Dok".
Kang Yoon-mi, head of LG Uplus's Brand Strategy Team, said, "We planned this lecture to deliver a special customer experience to those who decide on new challenges at the end of the year and New Year's season," adding, "We will continue to promote LG Uplus's brand philosophy and create opportunities to communicate with customers through various cultural contents."
