This year, Hanwha Systems' Security Team Deputy General Manager Hongju Choi received the Minister of National Defense's individual commendation for defense technology protection, marking the third consecutive year that Hanwha Systems has been honored with a defense technology protection award.
Hanwha Systems was recognized for its efforts in strengthening technology protection measures, including ▲separating internet networks and defense-exclusive work networks according to the Ministry of National Defense's network separation guidelines ▲building IT infrastructure that enables work on secure networks anytime and anywhere amid the expansion of non-face-to-face work due to COVID-19 ▲and completely replacing security solutions to actively block technology leaks caused by cyber intrusions.
Additionally, the company conducts annual defense technology protection training for all employees and invites security experts from the National Intelligence Service and the Defense Counterintelligence Command for specialized training. It also carries out biannual hacking simulation drills to raise employees' awareness and expertise in technology protection. In November, Hanwha Systems took the lead in strengthening partner companies' technology protection capabilities by educating about 60 technology protection officers from key partners on hacking damage prevention measures.
