[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Min-jae] The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Kbiz) announced on the 18th that from December 19, for 3 nights and 5 days, about 20 first- and second-generation small and medium business owners, including Kbiz Chairman Kim Ki-moon, will visit the United States to conduct a study on "U.S. Business Succession Systems and Innovative Companies."
This U.S. exploration is scheduled to include various programs such as ▲ seminars for studying the U.S. business succession system ▲ visits to innovative companies like Moloco and Google Bayview to benchmark innovative management techniques ▲ lectures on 2023 global technology trends ▲ and a tour of the Long Beach Container Terminal (LBCT), a global logistics site.
Through this exploration, they plan to investigate the types and institutional foundations of business succession in the U.S. and study parts that can be applied to Korean small and medium enterprises. They will also attend lectures on 2023 technology trends and visit innovative companies such as Moloco and the Google Bayview campus.
They will meet with Chairman Noh Sang-il of NGL Transportation, a logistics company in the U.S. West Coast (currently Chairman of the Orange County Korean American Chamber of Commerce), to hear about global logistics trends and request cooperation for the advancement of Korean SMEs into the U.S. market and their export-oriented transformation.
