Dongjak-gu, Chung-Ang University and Soongsil University to Install 15 Additional CCTVs in Areas Dense with Single-Person Households
[Seoul District News] Emergency Bells Installed Allow Communication with Dongjak-gu CCTV Control Center Operators in Urgent Situations and Connect to 112 for Rapid Crime Response
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Ilha) has installed 15 security CCTV cameras in four crime-vulnerable areas, including densely populated single-person household areas and university surroundings.
This project is part of the 2022 CCTV advancement initiative and was promoted to prevent crimes and establish a social safety net following a series of recent crimes near university areas.
The CCTV installation locations are ▲Heukseok-ro 77 near Chung-Ang University (photo) ▲Sadang-ro 30 near Soongsil University ▲Sangdo-ro and Sadang-ro, which are densely populated single-person household areas.
The CCTV cameras include 2-megapixel rotating cameras and fixed auxiliary cameras installed together to minimize blind spots.
Additionally, emergency bells are installed, allowing communication with the Dongjak-gu CCTV Integrated Control Center operators in urgent situations, and connecting to 112 emergency services for prompt crime response.
