[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] Im Sung-jae (photo), the ace of Korean men's golf, has become a "taken man."
On the 17th, he married Ms. Kim, who is one year older, at the Lotte Hotel World in Jamsil, Songpa-gu, Seoul. The bride-to-be is 25 years old this year and is a talented graduate of New York University's music school. She currently resides in Virginia, USA. Im Sung-jae met her through an introduction by an acquaintance last year and developed their love. In April, during the "Masters" of the "Myungin Yeoljeon," Ms. Kim visited the golf course to cheer for Im Sung-jae.
Im Sung-jae will start his newlywed life in a mansion located inside the Sugarloaf TPC in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. It is a house he purchased last year. The house has a basement and two above-ground floors. It includes a home bar, a private fitness center, a screen practice range, and a movie theater. Before the wedding, he renovated the landscaping and interior around the house. A swimming pool was also newly constructed.

Im Sung-jae is ranked 19th in the world, having won the 2020 PGA Tour Honda Classic and the 2021 Shriners Children's Open. He was the first Asian player to receive the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year award, and in August last year, he finished as runner-up at the Tour Championship, the final event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Earlier this month, after finishing tied for 8th at the "special event" Hero World Challenge hosted by "Golf Emperor" Tiger Woods (USA), he returned home to prepare for the wedding.
