Korea Health Industry Development Institute Hosts Forum to Promote Digital Healthcare 활성화
[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] The Korea Health Industry Development Institute announced on the 16th that it will hold the 14th Healthcare Future Forum on the 21st at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jung-gu, Seoul.
This forum is organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and hosted by the Development Institute. Under the theme of 'Measures to Revitalize the Digital Healthcare Industry,' keynote presentations and panel discussions will be held.
The first keynote presentation will be given by Professor Jongyeop Kim of Konyang University, who will discuss the 'Trends in Digital Healthcare Industry Policies at Home and Abroad,' examining major countries' digital healthcare industry policies and presenting implications for South Korea. Following this, Hwang Hee, CEO of Kakao Healthcare, will present on 'Digital Healthcare Policies and Institutional Support Directions from the Industry Perspective,’ proposing urgently needed institutional support directions along with voices from the industry regarding digital healthcare policies.
In the panel discussion, chaired by Professor Siyoung Song of Yonsei University College of Medicine, participants including Professor Juhan Kim of Seoul National University College of Medicine, Professor Seungchan Yoo of Yonsei University College of Medicine, Seungjae Song, CEO of LifeSemantics, Jaejun Ryu, Director of Naver Cloud, and Hwanhee Kwak, attorney at Law Firm Oreunhaneul, will discuss 'Policy Directions for Revitalizing the Digital Healthcare Industry.'
Chasundo, President of the Development Institute, said, "Since 2019, the Development Institute has discussed major issues and policy directions of the biohealth industry through the Healthcare Future Forum and has drawn social consensus. I hope this will be a constructive occasion where key issues for fostering the digital healthcare industry are sufficiently discussed and policy directions for our industry to gain global competitiveness are derived."
