Jeong Won-ju, CEO of Joongheung Development, Elected as Chairman of the Korea Housing Association
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] Jung Wonju, CEO of Jungheung Development, has been elected as the new president of the Korea Housing Construction Association.
On the 15th, the Korea Housing Construction Association held its 32nd regular general meeting at 10:30 AM at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, where Jung Wonju, CEO of Jungheung Development, was elected as the 13th president. He previously served as the president of the Gwangju-Jeonnam branch and ran unopposed as the new presidential candidate, winning without a vote.
About 200 representatives (delegates) from member companies attended the regular general meeting. During the meeting, the election of the new president and executives, as well as the approval of next year’s business plan and budget, were conducted.

Jung Wonju, who assumed office as the 13th president, stated, "I bear a heavy responsibility as I take on this important role during a difficult time when the business conditions for medium and small housing construction companies are worsening due to rising interest rates and accelerating real economy downturn." He added, "Based on my experience as an association executive, I will devote my utmost efforts to help member companies wisely overcome the current crisis and contribute to improving the national housing standards and the development of the housing industry."
