[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The National Gwangju Science Museum announced on the 15th that the 6th youth public relations communication group ‘Luchesta’ held a closing ceremony at the museum’s Imagination Hall on the 11th, concluding their 8 months of activities.
Luchesta, meaning ‘Shining Star,’ is a youth public relations communication group that serves as science communicators by directly experiencing the museum’s major exhibitions, events, and educational programs, then creating promotional materials in various content forms to deliver science to the public in an easy and enjoyable way.
This year, Luchesta consisted of a total of 87 students from the Honam region, ranging from 4th-grade elementary students to middle and high school students.
The closing ceremony was held with about 50 Luchesta members and their parents in attendance, proceeding in the order of activity presentations on this year’s work, awarding contest winners, and recognizing outstanding members.
Lim Woo-seok (Gwangju Seoseok High School), who received the Gwangju Mayor’s Award, said, “I have been active as a Luchesta member for the past six years since the 1st group, which helped me grow my interest in science and greatly assisted in planning my career by producing various types of content. I hope other students also enjoy science and actively participate in promoting science culture through Luchesta activities.”
