KB Kookmin Bank Launches 'OnGukmin Health Savings'... Up to 8% Interest Rate
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] KB Kookmin Bank launched the 'On-gukmin Health Savings' on the 15th.
The 'On-gukmin Health Savings' is a flexible installment savings product that applies preferential interest rates based on the number of steps taken. Savings can be made from 10,000 KRW to 200,000 KRW per month, and the contract period is 6 months. Enrollment is available through KB Star Banking until June 14 of next year.
The basic interest rate of this product is 2.0% per annum. After walking 100,000 steps each month and verifying the step count through KB Star Banking, a preferential interest rate of 0.5 percentage points per month is provided, up to a maximum of 3.0 percentage points annually. Additionally, if the 'Footprint Stamp' is completed once a month for 6 months through KB Star Banking, a preferential interest rate of 1.0 percentage point per annum is given. If there has been no KB Star Banking login history for more than 6 months as of the end of the month two months prior to enrollment, a preferential interest rate of 2.0 percentage points per annum is provided, allowing for a maximum interest rate of 8.0%.

Savings enrollment and preferential interest rate benefits are also provided for senior customers. Customers aged 60 and over can enroll at branches, and even achieving half the target step count of 50,000 steps grants the same preferential interest rate.
