New COVID-19 Cases 70,154, Up by About 5,000 from Last Week... 465 Severe Cases (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Byeon Seon-jin] The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 15th at midnight that 70,154 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed, bringing the total to 27,995,726.
The number of new cases decreased by 14,417 compared to the previous day (84,571). It is 4,909 more than a week ago on the 8th (65,245).
The number of critically ill patients hospitalized increased by 2 to 465 compared to the previous day.
There were 58 new COVID-19 related deaths. The cumulative death toll is 31,232, with a fatality rate of 0.11%.
As of midnight, the winter vaccination rate is 26.2% for those aged 60 and over, and 42.3% for residents of infection-vulnerable facilities.
