A 41km Trail to Be Created Around Yeongheungdo and Mungapdo Islands in Incheon
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] On the 15th, Ongjin-gun, Incheon announced plans to create trail paths on Yeongheungdo and Mungapdo Islands.
The Yeongheungdo trail path is a total of 27.6 km long and takes 9 hours to complete.
The trail is divided into a 7-hour route (21.94 km) that circles the entire island including overlapping sections, a 5-hour route (14.66 km) around Sipripo Beach, and a 3-hour route (8.87 km) mainly through forest paths exploring Guksabong and Yangrobong peaks.
On Mungapdo, a 13.16 km trail path taking 5 hours and 30 minutes on foot will be created. It consists of a 1 hour 30 minute route (4.25 km) suitable for a day trip and a 4-hour route (10.81 km) that circles Mungapdo.
The trail will be made as a hiking path linking 12 scenic spots of Mungapdo including Hanwol-ri Beach, Jinmorae, Munteokppuri Lion Rock, Gitdaebong Peak, and the Dokgong Market site.

An official from Ongjin-gun stated, "We will continue to expand island trail paths and create convenience facilities to provide various attractions for visitors."
