President Mohamed "Will Stand Beside Korea Unwaveringly"
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Chief Secretary Kim Dae-gi, in his capacity as a special envoy of President Yoon Seok-yeol, officially visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from the 11th to the 14th and delivered a letter from President Yoon to UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
On the 14th, the Presidential Office announced that Chief Secretary Kim met with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and delivered President Yoon's letter expressing the desire to elevate the bilateral relationship with the UAE, the only Middle Eastern country with which South Korea has a special strategic partnership, to a higher level.
President Mohamed stated that the relationship between the UAE and South Korea is very special, affirming that the UAE will stand unwaveringly and steadfastly by South Korea’s side, and expressed hope for greater cooperation between the two countries.
In particular, President Mohamed received the special envoy at the royal Majlis, where about 150 key figures from the royal family, cabinet, and parliament were gathered, publicly declaring a strong commitment to cooperation with South Korea, according to the Presidential Office. The Majlis refers to an informal gathering hosted by prominent royal and noble families to discuss a wide range of topics including politics and economics.

Additionally, Chief Secretary Kim held talks with Khaldoon Al Mubarak, the head of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, discussing ways to strengthen strategic cooperation between the two countries in various fields such as nuclear power, energy, investment, and defense industry. He also exchanged views with Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, on cooperation in energy and climate change.
