Kibo Selected as an Excellent Company for Safety Management Innovation
SafetyUP+ Campaign and Safety Infrastructure Guarantee to Promote Safety Management Expansion
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 14th that it selected JK Junggong Industry, located in Mokpo-si, Jeollanam-do, as an excellent company in safety management innovation through the 'Safety UP+ Campaign.'
Kibo empathizes with the need to support the prevention of safety accidents in small and venture companies following the enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and is conducting the 'Safety UP+ Campaign' for the second year to discover excellent cases of safety management innovation, continuing from the previous year.
JK Junggong Industry, established in May 2014 for the purpose of manufacturing ship components, is a small and medium-sized enterprise that has secured competitiveness through continuous technological development such as the introduction of automated systems. It has also made continuous efforts to improve the safety and health environment of its workplace, including obtaining the Safety and Health Management System (KOSHA-MS) certification in August this year.
Since 2020, Kibo has introduced a dedicated product called Safety Infrastructure Guarantee to prevent industrial accidents in safety-vulnerable companies and improve the overall safety and health level of domestic industries. Through this, it expanded the guarantee scale by supporting 262 companies with 171.3 billion KRW last year and 320 companies with 221.5 billion KRW as of November this year.
